Our Exceptional Instructors

Sharifah Manusia, MTI is the Massage Therapy Instructor for Anatomy and Physiology and most of the clinical hours at Exceptional Massage Institute. Sharifah graduated from the Northern Kentucky Branch of the Cincinnati School of Medical Massage and was originally licensed as an LMT in Ohio in 2003. She was also registered and qualified as a Reflexologist by the International Institute of Reflexology in 2004. After more than a year of teaching massage under Master Instructor, Loren Impson at EMI, she was granted a license upgrade to Massage Therapy Instructor. Her passion for giving, learning and teaching has led her to study Advanced Integrated Energy Therapies, Cranial Sacral, Lymphatic Drainage, Ortho-Bionomy & the Core Body Work post Graduate Techniques of Noah Karrasch. Sharifah is an accomplished massage therapist and a person of superior character and intelligence.

Sharifah’s focus in class is to strive to prepare all students for their own professional, ethical massage therapy practice. She feels that the mastery of the art of massage is gained through close attention to methods/technique as well as the refinement of natural gifts, with the goal always in mind that we can each bring positive unique changes in this world of ours. She invites you to come learn and share this healing art!

Loren Impson, MTI has been involved in Massage for Decades! He studied sports massage from a therapist to the Dallas Cowboys, he has assisted Harold Dull in teaching Watsu (a form of aquatic therapy), he taught his first class in massage at the age of 21. Loren brings a fun and entertaining style to his classes that will help you enjoy the learning experience. Most importantly you will learn the significance of body mechanics which will keep you working in massage as long as he has been. Most instruction comes from a place of logic and intuitive simplicity. By understanding the reason things work we can affect wellness more easily in our clients.
