HAWAIIAN HEALING WEEKEND
12 CEUs

 A two day introduction into the ancient healing art of Lomilomi Massage. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the ancient traditions and sacredness of Hawaiian healing arts. You will learn from the traditional lineage of Auntie Margaret Machado and Kahu Abraham Maka’l’ole . Sharon Malie Montgomery, a master of Hawaiian Lomilomi, invites you to immerse yourself in the sacredness and reverence of Hawaiian healing.
For previous students, this is an opportunity for self-care, review and reconnection with Lomilomi. Join together in a day of Aloha, awareness and sacred touch. 

These classes may be taken individually.

Both days are recommended for ultimate experience

                           Day 1 ANCIENT HAWAIIAN LOMILOMI INTRODUCTION

             Saturday, March 13, 2010/9am-4pm         $140 / CEUs: 6    

This introductory class presents an overview of Hawaiian Lomilomi Massage. Discussion will include Hawaiian culture, history, styles, intent, hula and flying movements and the healing breath of Ha. A fundamental hands-on technique, using the flowing forearm backstroke will be demonstrated and practiced. If you have been drawn to the Hawaiian culture and their healing arts or seeking to renew your passion for your practice, this will be an inspirational weekend.

      CLASS MATERIALS NEEDED:

SHEETS:  One Flat-One Fitted- COTTON ONLY

Face Cradle Cover-NO PILLOW CASE

OIL ONLY—NO LOTION-any oil is fine

HOLSTER-- if you use one (not mandatory)

Bring bottle with flip lid—if not using a holster with a pump

FLOOR PILLOW FOR SITTING IN A CIRCLE

PEN AND PAD FOR NOTES

 LUNCH ONE HOUR BREAK—may bring lunch or eat out

Sharon Malie Montgomery is the principle instructor for A TOUCH OF ALOHA BODYWORKS. She has been involved in the Hawaiian healing arts and spirituality for over 20 years. Malie, an experienced teacher of over 14 years, has trained extensively in traditional Hawaiian healing arts and Huna. Among her kumu are Auntie Margaret Machado, Papa K Kepilino, Susan Pa’iniu Floyd and Serge King. She is an Alakai with Aloha International. She has taught throughout the United States, United Kingdom and Europe, conducting workshops that are a unique experience of loving nurturance, acceptance and reverence for the true spirit of Aloha.

       CLASS MATERIALS NEEDED:
NO OIL REQUIRED

SHEETS; Twin-One flat-one fitted—no face cradle cover

CLOTHING; WEAR clothing for stretching and movement-TABLE WORK REQUIRES SLEEVELESS SHIRT OR SPORTS BRA.

FLOOR CLOTH OR BLANKET-for floor movement=one you feel good laying on
